zappi is an EV charger with a difference. zappi can operate as a standard home car charger, using power from the grid. It also has optional charging modes which use 100% green energy generated from your own home Solar PV system or wind generation.


You don’t need solar panels or a wind power system to use the zappi. But purchasing it today, means you’re future fit for tomorrow.


Using your own power generation increases the Return On Investment (ROI) for your panels and electric car and means that you can charge your EV at home for free! zappi is easy to install and user friendly. The zappi charger is available with a universal socket or as a tethered unit with 6.5m lead, and is compatible with all electric vehicles.   With either option, a charging cable can be wrapped around the charger for storage whilst not in use. The unit has built in Wifi and easy to use app control, as well as LCD status panel on the charger.

  • How much does an electric car charging point home installation cost?

    Our free home survey ensures all aspects of your installation have been checked - enabling us to provide a fully inclusive fixed price quote with no unexpected costs when your charger is installed.

  • What area do you cover for electric car charging installations?

    Based in Bracknell, Reading, our electricians cover the M4 and M3 corridor. 


    However, our free site survey and standard installation service for EV chargers is only available in the following postodes or within 15 miles of Bracknell.

  • How fast can I charge my car?

    For most domestic homes, the maximum size charge point is 7kW and a typical 8-to-10-hour overnight charge ensures most vehicles are at maximum range every morning. For properties with large electrical loads or a small incoming electrical supply, we offer a flexible range of power ratings, with options for automatic load management to manage short term peaks in demand. For larger properties with 3 phase electricity, we also offer 22kW electric vehicle charge points, as well as workplace and fleet charging solutions. Exact charging times are affected by vehicle model and driving patterns.

  • Do you need to carry out a site survey, and what does it involve?

    We prefer to carry out a site survey wherever possible to ensure we have everything covered when our electricians arrive to install your EV charger. It ensures we can provide a fixed price quote and the best service. Alternatively, if you can send us photos, we can provide an estimate remotely. 


    The survey takes about 10 minutes and involves checking your incoming electrical supply, consumer unit, cable routes and the proposed location for your new charge point. We can also discuss your requirements and answer any questions.


    As experienced electrical contractors, we welcome a challenge and are happy to assist with non-standard installations and bespoke projects.

  • How long does the installation take?

    Your new EV charger is usually installed and working within half a day. Our free survey and quotation service will detail this, taking into account the individual situation at your property.

  • Is there a grant available to subsidise the cost?

    The OZEV grant for chargers at individual private homes is no longer available, but we still offer competitively priced home EV charger installations. With a focus on quality, we use the best quality charge points on the market for maximum safety, reliability, and aesthetic appeal.
