Matt Browning Ltd has recently been carrying out work on an interesting domestic house extension and refurbishment to be featured on Channel 4’s Sarah Beeny’s ‘Double the house for half the money’ property show broadcast in Autumn 2013.

Matt Browning Ltd was pleased to be chosen as the electrical contractor for an interesting extension and refurbishment of a house in Bracknell.  Our customer, builder Greg Pritchard and his wife Jo bought their Bracknell property four years ago and started renovating the original house interior and major landscaping, whilst planning the future extension. In 2013 the building work started and was featured on Channel 4's   Double Your House for Half the Money with Sarah Beeney

We were appointed as electrical contractor in February 2013 after groundwork and TV filming had begun. Based on their architectural drawings we discussed the electrical requirements and lighting schemes with Greg & Jo and put forward a proposal to suit their requirements, together with a detailed quotation. 

Our electrical work included:

    • Electrical design & planning proposals

    • New distribution board to supply the extension

    • Connection of renewable energy heating system power& controls (solar thermal heat pump)

    • Installation and commissioning of under floor heating controls system

    • Lighting installation including low energy LED downlights

      and dimmable lighting control

    • Discreet electrical installation for the designer kitchen, including concealed grid switch for all appliances

    • Hamilton high quality electrical faceplates

    • CAT 6 data networking for internet and audio

    • Exterior landscape lighting & power

    • Smoke and CO detection system

    • Inspection & Testing of our electrical installation work, and the wiring in the original part of the property
