We recently completed the electrical installation work for an industrial biomass boiler project at a factory in Berkshire.

Biomass Heating Installation

We were appointed as electrical contractor by one of our regular clients to design and install the power and control wiring for a new 190kW biomass boiler heating system. The installation comprised an industrial dust extraction system to remove wood waste from production areas, a storage bunker, the biomass boiler and a heating system to distribute heat throughout the factory.

Our work included:

  • Disconnection of old plant and removal of redundant supplies
  • Installation of 3 phase power supplies for the dust extraction system and the biomass boiler control panel
  • Installation of power and control wiring for the heating fans
  • Single phase power supplies for instrumentation and ancillary equipment
  • Level indicator and interlock system for the storage bunker
  • Installation of new cable tray containment
  • Electrical controls interlock for fire damper system in ductwork
  • Installation of lighting and power sockets in the new boiler room
  • Commissioning of the system in conjunction with the mechanical contractor

The project was successfully completed on time and we continue to work for this valued client.
